Comfort Dry® LC UV Resistant Above and Below Grade Waterproofing

HouseGuard™ introduces ComfortDRY® LC, its latest addition in elastomeric and high build waterproofing coatings for protecting masonry and concrete surfaces. Its tough and UV resistant film protects walls against moisture infiltration both above and below the grade line. HouseGuard™ to offer Dow® Wallmate™ and Thermax® products in 2008

Starting January 1, 2008, HouseGuard is pleased to announce that it will add the following new Dow products to its customers.

STYROFOAM® WALLMATE™

STYROFOAM WALLMATE™ slotted is an extruded polystyrene insulation panel designed as a quick, easy-to-install and durable option for insulating and finishing the interior of basement walls. It has an R-value of 5.0 per inch, resists moisture helping to keep your basement warm and dry. It features slotted edges on the long sides of the boards. When butted together, the slotted edges form a slot between boards that accommodates a wood nailing strip, which is used for attaching the boards to the wall. It also provides a nail base for drywall — avoiding costly framing. WALLMATE™ complies with ASTM C578 Type X. Meets IBC/IRC requirements for foam plastic insulation. THERMAX™

THERMAX™ sheathing is a glass-fiber-reinforced polyisocyanurate foam core with solid aluminum foil facers on both sides. Can be installed exposed to the interior without a thermal barrier.

Ease of application: Easy-to-handle THERMAX insulations require no special tools or materials for installation. Simply use a utility knife and a straight edge to cut the boards to size. Then adhere directly to basement walls with an approved adhesive.

For extra protection against air and moisture and a more finished appearance use one of the joint closure systems from Dow, or tape seams with THERMAX white foil tape or aluminum foil tape.
