The Dow® Perimate™ insulating drainage board with its extruded closed cell polystyrene composition, resists crushing during backfilling, has very low water absorption, and provides a tough, crush resistant barrier which drains groundwater quickly down the wall to the drains along the footer and away from the foundation. It has very low water absorption so water stays away from the membrane, eliminating hydrostatic pressure buildup along the membrane surface.
